This was a fun morning. I found an Argiope but with only minimal stabalimenta. Here she is in the ventral presentation
From the side
From a different side angle
Here is an interesting profile of the web
I disturbed her web and here is the empty web
She climbed and hid on the top of a leaf.
I walked away to give her time to move back to her web and saw this leaf hopper
Then here she is again - ventral presentation
Close
This time when I disturbed her web, she hid under the same leaf
Another view
And another view
Now a surprise. I found this small Nephila with a large collection of what appears to be dinners above her
I disturbed her web and instead of racing for the periphery, she curled up like a piece of debris
Then she returned to her web
In the resting positoin
Back to the Argiope - a side presentation
A grasshopper
And a yellow flower
And another view of the same yellow flower
