This was an interesting adventure after Wednesday's balancing act with camera, tripod and umbrella. I took a different path today and found new colors.
Here is some sort of black orb-weaving spider - possible Leucauge decorata
From the side
and the ventral side (up)
Then a small butterfly decided to take up temporary residence on a leaf. Here is a rather plain brown butterfly
So down I went and here is a very nicely colored eye
Another black orb-weaver - but I think not Leucauge decorata
And an multi-colored butterfly
Another Leucauge decorata - but with a horizontal web - and much more cooperative
A closer view
And some sort of orange insect climbing
An ant walking around a leaf
and climbing up a stalk
Our brown butterfly with the aqua eyes
And suddenly, a damselfly with aqua eyes
From the top
White butterfly
An orange bug - a beetle?
An interesting lizard
And a friendly Nephila
The ventral side
Without flash
From the side
Another interesting butterfly
And here are some red ants
and a few more red ants
And a family monkies
Here is a turtle swimming
a closer view
Here is a dragonfly with reflection in the water
This little guy decided to have some lunch
and this guy was just looking
shile the mom was protecting her new baby from a crazy photographer
Well, the baby is not so afraid now
and this little guy is hypnotized by the clicks of my camera
Then a very interesting purple winged butterfly
Another view
and another lizard
