January 21, 2007: Continuing adventures with colorful insects

Today there was no rain - at least so far. So with camera and tripod, off I went to the forest/jungle adjacent to the Queenstown Library. As usual, no disappointments.

This is a green hopper. They hop everywhere. Is it a grasshopper? I don't know - but any suggestions will be quite useful

Here is another blue dragonfly. According to Wikipedia, damselflies differ from dragonflies in that the wing rest position of a dragonfly is extended while a damselfly has the wings resting parallel to the body.
