In transition from the GB Meeting to the GB Retreat, a surprise awaits ...
Bravo! Bravo! Comfy and stylish Polo-Ts instead of starchy business wear!
Chairman, Mr Tony Chew, gave an opening address for the 2nd GB Retreat.
The 2nd GB Retreat is an important platform for GB members, senior colleagues from Duke and GMS Management, to have a better collective appreciation of some of the key issues GMS is facing and working on.
Discussion topics include curriculum, postgraduate education, etc.
After some serious brainstorming sessions, a lighter moment as some GB members mingled to catch-up. Foreground from left: Mr Bernard Chen, Mr Philip Ng, Prof Tan Ser Kiat and Dr Jennifer Lee.
And some cherries, snacks, and great smiles to recharge! Foreground from left: Prof Soo Khee Chee with Mr Chandra Mohan.
And some friendly bonding for better understanding of the discussions at the retreat. From left: Dr Teoh Hoon Cheow, Prof Soo Khee Chee and Prof Tan Ser Kiat.
And not forgetting updates and support from GMS Management. From left: Mr Bernard Chen, Ms Giselia Giam and Dr Teoh Hoon Cheow.
As GB Members and GMS Management appreciate the event that brought them together for the once a year retreat ...

We were also delighted and honored to have the renowned Nobel Prize winning chemist Prof. Peter Agre, who is also the Chairman of GMS Scientific Advisory Board joined the retreat.
Prof Agre is seen here with Prof Soo Khee Chee and Prof David Virshup.
After the break, more heavy duty exchanges before Dean Sandy Williams wraps up the fruitful event.
A sumptuous dinner was prepared for the GB Members, invited guests and GMS Management.
Discussions were still on-going at the dinner ...
