It has been raining since early morning. I thought it would be interesting to visit my spider place towards the end of the rain and see what they do. Well, they were hiding - I found nothing. A few partial webs, a few strands but no Nephila or Miagrammopes or Leucauge. So I started to explore the world of raindrops.
Looking through a raindrop. At first I thought this was a reflection. But no, it was a refraction - looking through a looking glass at the leaves behind the Simpoh plant
A closer view
The Simpoh flower - with a lifetime of only a single day
A raindrop hanging from a stalk of grass
I don't know what this is so I call it an Orchidlet - a small orchid
Then walking back, I saw a small small web under a leaf and as I was looking I saw a small orangish spider that saw me first and dropped to the ground.
Then looking directly down, I found her near the grass, trying to hid under a leaf
And as if she knew I was looking at her.
Then she climbed back up to a leaf and just waited. For almost 20 minutes, she waited
A closer view - where you can see her tiny eyes
As I was giving up on her - I picked up my tripod and almost immediately, she climbed back to her web into this position
I returned in the evening and she was still there. So now I shall return to her place and continue this adventure
