Some photos from Mayan sites, the orchid and butterfly gardens at Xcaret and a bit of snorkeling

First - how we got there - Charleston to Atlanta to Cancun

Then by car to Merida

There was sunrise

There were pyramids

There were columns

There was a model of the temple organization at Chichen Itza

We saw lots of interesting iguanas

and butterflies

and some beautiful orchids

and some interesting fish - where I was snorkeling

And, of course, anyone knows these are not fish

The focus was pretty bad for the underwater photos - good excuse for a new camera - perhaps digital underwater? Stay tuned for more.
